Emmanuel Community Development Center

Located in Paso Marcos, just outside of the Chirripó Cabécar Indigenous Territory, Emanuel Community Development Center serves as a base of operations for projects.

The center is next to the Pacuare River and consists of a multipurpose building with living space for permanent staff and short-term volunteers, and a meeting area.

There is also a kitchen and dining hall, Cabécar shelter, workshop, tilapia pond, and a small farm which produces plantain, banana, and coffee.

Our facilities are utilized by missionaries, short term teams, visitors, local families and Sunday fellowship gatherings. Currently the Center houses a family with several indigenous foster children, and is open as an emergency shelter for at-risk women and children.

Donations go towards maintenance, utilities, and
improvements of the grounds and facilities.

We appreciate everyone who supports the Emmanuel Center financially and those who come to work with us – making cement, building, painting, graveling paths, making repairs. Your sacrifice is a testimony of God’s love to the community.
