Blake first was introduced to the mission in Costa Rica in 2022 with a group from First Baptist Church Medford. The group started coming every June to do work projects and to build connections with the Cabécar people and their families. During this time Blake was a student at Grand Canyon University and was praying through his next steps after university. Blake had felt a calling to missions, and during the group’s trip in 2024, he asked to be a part of the mission with ICDI.  In 2025 after finishing university, Blake started working with ICDI and with the Cabécar people in Costa Rica.

Blake helps out with providing worship for the youth ministry and Sunday fellowship. He has been starting a youth worship band to help provide students with the opportunity to grow as musicians and worship leaders. He also is providing music classes for students who want to start learning more about music and who want to start playing an instrument. In addition to the music ministry, Blake is involved with helping out with the youth and various projects that come up during the week.
